The picturesque town of Wolframs-Eschenbach with its historic old town and the distinctive, widely visible tower of the Catholic Church had chosen the large worldwide Kleine Münsterländer family to host the International Münsterländerprüfung in variants A and B from 12 to 15 October 2017.
It was prepared and hosted by the German Landesgruppe Nordbayern under its chairman Gerhart Schäfer and the local organization manager Erwin Steinbauer.
A total of 16 teams had reported, eight each for IMP A and IMP B. The teams came from Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.
While dogs are approved for the IMP A, which already have the national breeding requirements, the IMP B can be completed as a performance test without previous breeding approval. In the B variant, VJP and HZP are summarized in a performance test. With its existence one obtains for the KlM mother country Germany a substantial breed condition. The aim is to achieve this on an international level, because here the breeding conditions are sometimes very different. At one level, apart from Germany, there are only Austria and the Czech Republic.

The most beautiful dog and winner of the show was in the opinion of the jury Aura vom Pulvermaar. The winner of the IMP-A was the bitch Aura vom Pulvermaar with 808 points, led by Petra Etges from the KlM- Landesgruppe Saar-Rhein-Pfalz eV At the IMP-B the Großer Münsterländer Aik vom Forchenhügel was with 516 points, led by Daniel Reitberger from Außernzell, successful as the best dog.
